I'm finally ditching my 56k dial-up modem. My neighborhood just got both DSL from the phone company and cable internet from the cable company. DSL is $49/month and cable is $39/month. I mostly use the internet for email, downloading MP3s, and playing Counter-Strike. Which is faster? Which is more reliable? Do I share bandwidth with neighbors on cable?
