Hi all. Turned on my PC this morning and it just beeps three times then the screen stays black. I have a Pentium III 600MHz with 256MB RAM. Nothing changed since yesterday. Any ideas? |

Three beeps on most BIOSes means a memory error. Try reseating your RAM sticks — pull them out and push them back in firmly. Also try booting with only one stick at a time. |

Which BIOS do you have? AMI and Award have different beep codes. Three short beeps on AMI = RAM. Three long beeps on Award = keyboard error. |

It's AMI BIOS. I tried reseating and it worked! Thank you so much Alice! |
