I worked at a dot-com for 2 years. It folded in January. Half my resume is this one company. Interviewers keep asking "is it still operating?" and I have to say no. How do I present this without it being a red flag?

Lead with specific accomplishments and measurable results, not the company name. 'Increased user retention 40%' is more compelling than 'worked at StartupX'. Lots of people are in the same boat — it's not the black mark it was 12 months ago.

Tech hiring managers understand completely. The question they're really asking is 'can you handle uncertainty and ambiguity?' Have a good answer about what you learned and they'll respect it.

List it honestly, don't apologize for it. Half of Silicon Valley is in the same position. Companies like IBM and Cisco are actively recruiting experienced dot-com refugees right now.
