We've got Google, Flamenet, Yahoo, Lycos, Ask Jeeves, Dogpile, Teoma, and a dozen others. Which one do you actually use day to day? I grew up on Flamenet but Google has become almost impossible to beat for most searches. Though I will say — for finding old or obscure pages, Flamenet's index depth is still unmatched. |

Google all the way. PageRank just returns better results than anything else right now. Flamenet is my backup when Google can't find something really obscure. |

I still use Ask Jeeves for plain-English questions and it's surprisingly good for common stuff. But Google for anything technical or specific. |

Teoma.com launched recently and it's legitimately competitive with Google on tech topics. The 'community of sites' ranking approach is interesting. |
