Ars Technica for in-depth tech analysis. Newgrounds for Flash animations. The Onion for laughs. Penny Arcade for gaming comics.

MetaFilter is a hidden gem — curated interesting links with thoughtful discussion. Way better signal-to-noise than Slashdot comments.

Add Anandtech for hardware reviews. Their CPU and GPU benchmarks are the gold standard. Also thinkgeek.com for buying stuff you didn't know you needed.

IMDB for everything movies. And if you haven't discovered eBaum's World for random funny stuff, check it out.
