Every other website I visit now has a mandatory Flash intro with the music and the animations and the 'LOADING...' progress bar. And then after you sit through it once, there's no way to skip it on return visits.

Does anyone actually like these? They add nothing and just waste time. The 'Skip Intro' button is the most clicked element on the internet.

I build Flash sites for a living and even I agree — standalone Flash intros are terrible UX. Use Flash for interactive content, not for making people wait.

The only good Flash intro I've ever seen was the one for 2Advanced Studios, and even that I only watched once. Skip Intro forever.

My ISP's website has a 2MB Flash intro on dial-up speed hosting. Think about that for a second.
