GameCube launches next week! $199 vs Xbox's $299. Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race: Blue Storm as launch titles. Not the strongest launch lineup but Smash Bros Melee is coming in December.

Anyone else picking one up? Nintendo's been my console of choice since the NES. The controller looks weird but I trust them.

Day one buy for me. Smash Bros Melee in December is going to consume my life. Also Rogue Leader looks incredible.

The mini-disc format worries me a bit — only 1.5GB per disc vs 4.7GB for DVD on PS2/Xbox. But Nintendo's first party games are always amazing so I'm in.

I'm waiting for Metroid Prime and Zelda. Once those hit, the GameCube becomes a must-own. Luigi's Mansion isn't enough to justify a launch purchase for me.

Three consoles in one generation is going to be brutal on my wallet. PS2, Xbox, AND GameCube? I'll be eating ramen until 2004.
