Brood War is 3 years old now and it's STILL the most popular competitive RTS. The balance between Terran, Protoss, and Zerg is so tight that pro games in Korea are played to massive audiences.

Still playing daily. The thing about Brood War is the skill ceiling is basically infinite. You can always get better at micro, macro, build orders. No other RTS has this depth.

Korea is building actual TV channels around StarCraft. Think about that. A 3-year-old PC game with televised matches. This game is timeless.

I switched to Warcraft III beta and it's amazing too, but Brood War's competitive scene is still unmatched. Both are incredible Blizzard games.
