My girlfriend bought The Sims expecting to play it for a weekend. That was 3 months ago. She has played it every single day since. The expansions (Hot Date, House Party) just keep adding more stuff.

Is this the most addictive game ever made? I'm starting to get jealous of her Sims family, they have a nicer house than we do.

The Sims has absorbed more of my life than any other game and I'm not even ashamed. Building the houses is the best part. The architecture tools are genuinely impressive.

My sister has been playing since launch and she's basically an interior decorator now. The game taught her more about design than any class.

I trapped a Sim in a room with no doors once and I think that says something about me as a person. Still a great game though.
