Got Civ III last week and I have literally lost sleep. The 'just one more turn' thing is not a joke. I looked up from a game and it was 4AM on a work night.

The culture system is a brilliant addition. Having cities flip allegiance through cultural pressure rather than just military conquest adds so much depth. Anyone else obsessed?

I've called in sick to work twice because of Civ III. I'm not proud of it but I regret nothing. The cultural victory path is genius.

The AI in Civ III is actually competent, which is refreshing after Civ II. They'll form alliances against you if you get too powerful.
