Got into the Warcraft III beta and it's incredible. The hero system adds RPG elements to RTS in a way that feels natural. Creep camps give you something to do besides just rushing your opponent.

The custom maps are already amazing thanks to the World Editor. I think the mod scene for WC3 is going to be massive.

The hero leveling system is genius. It makes every unit decision matter because you're building around your hero's abilities. Huge skill expression.

Mark my words — the World Editor is going to produce something that changes gaming. The community is already making incredible custom maps in the beta.

Night Elf is clearly the coolest faction. Wisps, Moon Wells, Ancients that uproot and walk... Blizzard's art team outdid themselves.
