The Strokes are the most exciting band to come out of New York in years. Is This It sounds like it was recorded in a garage (in the best way) and every track is a hook factory. Last Nite, Someday, Hard to Explain — all instant classics.

Is this the start of a garage rock revival? Because I am extremely here for it.

Between The Strokes and The White Stripes, guitar rock is back and I couldn't be happier. Nu-metal can finally start dying.

Last Nite is the most infectious song of the year. That guitar riff is permanently implanted in my brain. I've listened to it maybe 300 times.

The lo-fi production is intentional and perfect. It sounds like a band playing in a room together, which is exactly what was missing from mainstream rock.
