I'm on book 7 of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time and the series is starting to test my patience. Books 1-5 were incredible but the pacing has slowed dramatically. The braid-tugging count is through the roof.

Please tell me it picks up again. I've invested too much time to quit now.

Books 7-9 are widely regarded as the 'slog.' Push through. Book 10 is rumored to pick back up. The worldbuilding is still incredible even when the pacing dips.

I quit at book 8 and just read plot summaries online for the ones I missed. Life is too short for 14-book series that lose momentum.

I love every book including the slow ones. Sometimes you just want to live in the world even if the plot isn't moving fast. More Aiel culture please.
