Well, Vince McMahon's XFL lasted exactly one season. The ratings cratered after the novelty wore off. Who could have predicted that gimmicks like cameras in cheerleader locker rooms and a scramble for the ball instead of a coin toss wouldn't sustain a football league?

He Hate Me was a legitimately great jersey name and that's the only positive legacy of the XFL. Well, the sky cam is pretty cool too — the NFL should steal that.

I watched like 3 XFL games and the quality of play was just... bad. Arena Football has better athletes. It was never going to work.

Lost like $35 million on this. The hubris of thinking you could compete with the NFL by adding WWE entertainment elements to bad football. lol.
