Never been to a national park (I know, I know). Want to plan my first trip. What are the best parks for someone who's never done serious hiking but wants to see incredible scenery? West coast parks seem like the obvious choice but I'm open to anything. Have about 5 days. |

Yosemite is the answer. The valley floor is accessible to anyone and the views are some of the most stunning on Earth. You don't need to hike to be blown away. |

Zion National Park in Utah. The Narrows hike (walking through a river canyon) is one of the most unique experiences in any park. Incredibly beautiful. |

Grand Canyon. Nothing prepares you for the scale. The first time you see it, you just stand there unable to speak. It's that overwhelming. |
