I'll start: Windows ME gets way more hate than it deserves. It was buggy but not as bad as people make it sound.

Counter-Strike is overrated. There, I said it. It's the same 5 maps and the same camping spots over and over. Unreal Tournament has more variety.

The Lord of the Rings books are boring. The movies are better. *ducks*

Internet Explorer 6 is actually a pretty good browser and most of the hate comes from web developers who are mad about market share, not actual quality.

Linux will never be a desktop OS for regular people. The command line requirement is a dealbreaker for 99% of the population. Sorry.

The Matrix is style over substance. The philosophy is freshman-level at best. Still a fun movie though.
