Just saw A Beautiful Mind and Russell Crowe is incredible as John Nash. The way the film gradually reveals the nature of his schizophrenia is masterful storytelling. You genuinely don't see it coming.

Is this the Oscar frontrunner? Crowe already won for Gladiator — could he go back to back?

Crowe gives a career-best performance which is saying something after Gladiator. The scene where he realizes the truth about his condition is devastating.

Great film but I think LotR deserves Best Picture more. A Beautiful Mind is excellent but Fellowship is a generational achievement.
