It's 2001. The internet is still relatively young. What do you think it'll look like in 2011? Predictions time. I'll start: I think everyone will have broadband, websites will look much more like software applications, and physical media (CDs, DVDs) will start being replaced by downloads. What are your predictions? |

Wireless internet everywhere. In your house, at coffee shops, maybe even in parks. No more being tethered to a desk to be online. |

Video on the internet will be huge. Right now it's tiny postage stamp quality but bandwidth is growing exponentially. Eventually we'll stream movies online. |

I think phones will be able to browse the internet properly. WAP is terrible now but give it 10 years and we'll have real browsers on mobile phones. |

Hot take: physical stores will start dying as online shopping gets better. Amazon is already eating into retail. In 10 years it'll be much worse for brick-and-mortar. |

Forums will still be around. Maybe with better features. But people will always want communities organized around shared interests. That doesn't change. |
