Tried to deep fry a turkey for Thanksgiving. Don't need to explain what happened next. Let's just say I no longer have eyebrows and the fire department knows me by name.

Forgot about rice on the stove for 2 hours. Came back to a completely carbonized black brick welded to the pot. The smell lingered for days.

Mistook tablespoons for teaspoons on cayenne pepper in a chili recipe. Made 4 gallons of weaponized chili that nobody could eat. Not a single bowl consumed.

Tried to flambe something without knowing what I was doing. Caught a kitchen towel on fire. Then used the towel to try to beat out the fire. Made it worse. Kitchen survived. Barely.
