Had a power flicker last week that killed my PC mid-save in a game. Lost hours of progress. Time to get a UPS. What wattage do I need for a typical gaming PC + monitor? APC seems to be the brand everyone recommends. Any model suggestions? |

APC Back-UPS 650 is the sweet spot for a single PC + monitor. Gives you about 5-10 minutes to save and shut down cleanly during an outage. Around $80. |

Calculate your system's total wattage (PSU rating + monitor) and buy a UPS rated for at least 1.5x that amount. Better to have headroom. |

I learned this lesson the hard way with a corrupted Windows install from a power outage. A UPS is cheap insurance. Get one. |
