I've been reading some articles and even some short fiction on my computer screen and my eyes hate me for it. CRT monitors are not designed for long-form reading. Do you think we'll ever read books on screens? E-book readers exist but they're expensive and the screens are terrible. I think paper books are safe for a long time. |

Paper books are irreplaceable. The tactile experience, the smell, the ability to flip back and forth easily. Screens will never replace that for me. |

For reference material and documentation, I prefer screen reading. For novels and anything longer than 20 pages? Give me paper every time. |

E-ink technology is promising but it's years away from being good enough for mainstream book reading. Check back in 2010 maybe. |
