Soldering tips for beginners

Clean tip, tin the tip, heat the joint not the solder. A good iron makes all the difference. I recommend the Weller WES51.

No microcontroller needed! BEAM robots use analog circuits to respond to light. Simple, elegant, and mesmerizing to watch.
