Use a different password for every site. Password Safe or KeePass stores them encrypted. Never use your pets name.

Set up PGP with GnuPG and your email client. End-to-end encrypted email is possible and everyone should use it.

Tor for anonymity, VPN for privacy from your ISP. Neither is perfect alone. Use both for maximum protection.

Every website tracks you with cookies. Use the Mozilla Cookie Manager to selectively block third-party cookies.
