The pre-made paddles are fine to start, but a custom blade with proper rubber transforms your game. Ask a club player to help.

Topspin, backspin, sidespin - reading your opponents spin is half the battle. The ball does the opposite of what you expect.

Good table tennis is all in the feet. Side-to-side shuffle drills, staying low, and never crossing your legs. Move, then hit.

Rec centers, churches, and dedicated table tennis clubs. Playing better players is the fastest way to improve. Seek them out.

A varied serve sets up the whole point. Mix short and long, heavy spin and no spin. A predictable serve gets attacked.
