Stop treating the sketchbook as precious. Bad drawings are part of the process. A full ugly sketchbook beats an empty pretty one.

Beginners draw what they think they see. Train your eye to see actual shapes, angles, and negative space. Draw what is there.

Gesture first - capture the pose in 30 seconds. Then refine. Life drawing classes are gold if you can find one.
