Our engineering teams tackle real-world scale challenges — from our recommendation engine and catalog systems to our order processing pipeline and third-party seller marketplace (just launched in 2000!).

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed systems that operate at massive scale
• Lead technical design discussions and produce design documents
• Write production-quality Java and Perl code
• Drive operational excellence — on-call rotations included
• Mentor and grow junior engineers on your team

Requirements

• 5+ years software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Perl
• Strong data structures and algorithms background
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
• Track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems
• BS/MS in Computer Science
