Digital Stars
We are the children of the dial-up tone,
waiting for the world to load
one pixel at a time.

Our constellations are blinking cursors,
our campfires: monitor glow
at 2 AM on a school night.

We whisper secrets in chat rooms
to strangers who feel less strange
than the kids at school.

The modem sings us to sleep —
its static lullaby promising
a world bigger than our bedrooms.

Under Construction
This page is always
under construction —
like me, like you,
like everything worth building.

The dancing baby GIF
knows more about patience
than we ever will,
looping forever,
never finished,
never started,
just being.
