Yes, The Phantom Menace Was Actually Good. Fight Me.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Episode II: Attack of the Clones coming May 2002!!!
Why Episode I Doesn't Deserve the Hate:
1. Darth Maul - Coolest villain design since Vader. The double-bladed lightsaber? ICONIC.
2. Duel of the Fates - The greatest lightsaber fight in Star Wars history. John Williams outdid himself.
3. Podracing - It's basically Ben-Hur in space! The sound design alone is worth the ticket price.
4. World-building - Coruscant, Naboo, and the Jedi Temple are GORGEOUS.
5. Qui-Gon Jinn - Liam Neeson brings gravitas to the saga. His death scene hits hard.
OK fine, Jar Jar was a mistake. But one character doesn't ruin a whole movie!
Episode II Predictions:
- Anakin and Padme romance (FINALLY)
- Clone army revealed
- Jango Fett = Boba's dad? (leaked spoiler??)
- Yoda lightsaber fight?!? (PLEASE)
