Avtoservis_inei   Field Day preparation Nov 17, 2026 3:54 pm
Field Day is the biggest ham radio event of the year. Our club is setting up 5 stations on a hilltop. Come operate!

My results were slightly different but in the same ballpark. Good advice overall.

The Technician exam is 35 multiple choice questions. Study the question pool for 2 weeks and you will pass. Resources inside.

Avtoservis_inei   Antenna projects for small lots Jul 19, 2026 8:54 pm

admin   Best first HF radio Jul 11, 2026 11:54 pm
Icom IC-706MKIIG covers HF through UHF in one box. Used ones are around $600. Great first all-band radio.

The amount of free knowledge in this group is incredible. Better than any book.

Does this work for everyone or just certain setups? Asking because my situation is a bit different.
Charlie Reeves Jul 18, 2026 7:54 pm
Great explanation! Even a beginner like me could follow every step.
Donna Vasquez   Emergency communications - when the grid goes down Jul 10, 2026 2:54 am
Ham radio is the last communication system standing in a disaster. ARES and RACES training is essential.

Interesting perspective. I never thought about it that way before.
