Scanning old family photos at 600 DPI. Using archival sleeves for originals. Digital backup on CD-R and hard drive.

Took a DNA test and discovered I am 15% something I did not expect. Also matched with a 2nd cousin I never knew existed!

Ancestry.com has the most records but costs $20/month. FamilySearch.org is free and run by the LDS church. Both are essential.
