Classical trains technique. Jazz trains improvisation. Both make you a better musician. Why not learn both?

Scales (15 min), Hanon exercises (10 min), current piece slow practice (20 min), sight reading (15 min). One hour daily.

Yamaha P-85 has great weighted action and decent sound. Roland FP-30 if you can stretch to $600. Avoid cheap keyboards with non-weighted keys.
