Charlie Reeves   Wine from fruit juice Dec 28, 2026 6:45 pm
Welchs grape juice, sugar, and yeast. Seriously. Its drinkable in 3 weeks and actually good in 3 months.

My results were slightly different but in the same ballpark. Good advice overall.

This is going straight into my notes. Already learned three new things today.
Dave Modem   All-grain brewing transition Dec 28, 2026 5:45 pm
Moving from extract to all-grain is a big step. Need a mash tun and more time but the control over flavor is worth it.

I had given up on this entirely and your post got me to try again. Glad I did.
Bob Nakamura Dec 29, 2026 12:45 pm
Has anyone else tried this? I am curious about other experiences.
Alice Hartwell   Kegging vs bottling Dec 28, 2026 5:45 am
Kegging is faster and gives better carbonation control. A used Cornelius keg setup is $100. No more washing 50 bottles!

My experience: it depends on your specific situation but generally this is good advice.
Alice Hartwell Dec 28, 2026 1:45 pm
Quick question: does this apply to the newer version too or just the old one?

Posting so I can find this thread again later. Genuinely useful stuff.
Charlie Reeves Dec 28, 2026 6:45 pm
Great point! I totally agree with this.

Post your best recipes! My American IPA: 12 lbs pale malt, 1 lb crystal 40, Cascade and Centennial hops. OG 1.065.

My neighbor told me the same thing last week. Must be legit.
Bob Nakamura Dec 28, 2026 1:45 pm
I was skeptical at first but you convinced me. Going to give it a shot this week.

My uncle does this for a living and he agrees 100% with what you said.
admin   First homebrew kit recommendations Dec 28, 2026 2:45 am
The $80 starter kit from the local homebrew shop includes everything. First batch: a simple pale ale. Hard to mess up.

Does this work for everyone or just certain setups? Asking because my situation is a bit different.
Avtoservis_inei Dec 29, 2026 2:45 pm
Finally! Someone who gets it. I have been saying this for months.
