The big national scholarships have thousands of applicants. Small local ones from clubs and businesses have almost none. Apply to those!

Never pay full price for textbooks

Buy used, rent, share with a classmate, or check the library reserve. Sell them back the day finals end. The bookstore is the last resort.

Free events with free food, free gym, free tutoring, free software. Your tuition pays for it - use every bit of it.

Subsidized loans dont accrue interest while in school. Borrow only what you need. That refund check is not free money.

Rice, eggs, frozen vegetables, peanut butter, and oatmeal. The dining hall meal plan is overpriced if you cook even a little.
