How do I create or join a Group?

Groups are community spaces — like mailing lists — where members share messages on a shared topic. Groups can be public (open to all) or private (membership requires approval).

Joining a group

  1. Visit /groups/ and browse or search for a group.
  2. Click the group name to view its description.
  3. Click Join Group. For public groups you are added immediately. For private groups, the owner must approve your request.

Creating a group

  1. Visit /groups/ and click Create Group.
  2. Enter a name, description, and choose a category.
  3. Set visibility to Public or Private.
  4. Click Create Group. You become the group owner automatically.

As the group owner you can post messages, approve or reject membership requests, and delete the group.
