Groups are community spaces — like mailing lists — where members share messages on a shared topic. Groups can be public (open to all) or private (membership requires approval).
Joining a group
- Visit /groups/ and browse or search for a group.
- Click the group name to view its description.
- Click Join Group. For public groups you are added immediately. For private groups, the owner must approve your request.
Creating a group
- Visit /groups/ and click Create Group.
- Enter a name, description, and choose a category.
- Set visibility to Public or Private.
- Click Create Group. You become the group owner automatically.
As the group owner you can post messages, approve or reject membership requests, and delete the group.
