Pikmin — weirdest Nintendo game in years (and I love it)

Pikmin on GameCube is unlike anything I've played. You're a tiny spaceman commanding an army of plant creatures to collect ship parts. It's part RTS, part puzzle, part adorable chaos. The 30-day time limit adds genuine urgency. Miyamoto apparently got the idea from his garden. Nintendo is a truly bizarre company and I mean that as the highest compliment. |

Watching a mob of 100 Pikmin carry a massive object back to your ship is one of the most satisfying things in gaming. So cute, so efficient. |
