Is it just me or has Maxtor quality dropped recently? My last two purchases had issues.

Totally agree with this. The Asus boards with VIA chipsets have some compatibility issues. Check the forums.

That's awesome! I've had great luck with Western Digital drives. Seagate too.

How does I had the same issue and it turned out to be a bad power supply. Try swapping it out. work exactly?

From experience, Make sure the RAM is on the motherboard's QVL (qualified vendor list).

While we're on the subject, Reseat the card and the cables. Half the time that fixes weird issues.
