Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you will also be asked for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app.
What you need
An authenticator app on your phone or computer, such as:
- Google Authenticator (Android / iOS)
- Authy (Android / iOS / Desktop)
- Microsoft Authenticator (Android / iOS)
- 1Password or any other TOTP-compatible app
Enabling 2FA
- Visit your Account page at /account/.
- Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication section and click Enable 2FA.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen. If you cannot scan it, tap Enter key manually in your app and type the code shown.
- Enter the 6-digit code your app generates to confirm it is working, then click Confirm.
- Save your backup codes. Eight single-use backup codes are displayed — store them somewhere secure (e.g. a password manager). Each code can be used once if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Signing in with 2FA
After entering your username and password, you will be redirected to a 2FA page. Open your authenticator app, find your Flamenet entry, and enter the current 6-digit code. Codes refresh every 30 seconds.
Lost access to your authenticator?
Enter one of your backup codes on the 2FA prompt instead of the app code. Each backup code works once. If you have exhausted all backup codes, contact security@flamenet.io to verify your identity and regain access.
Disabling 2FA
To turn off 2FA, go to Account → Two-Factor Authentication and click Disable 2FA. You will be asked to confirm with your current 2FA code.
